CR-10S Skull Extruder Visualizer
thingiverse
I was having trouble getting the filament to extrude properly. My extruder motor would turn the gear, but still, the filament wouldn't feed. In the end, I replaced both the extruder and hot end. What I really needed was an extruder visualizer that could show me if the filament is actually moving through the tube when the driven wheel turns. But I couldn't find anything like that for my specific printer. So I decided to create one myself. I took a skull design from Tinkercad and mounted it on a tube that fits snugly onto the driven wheel of the extruder. As the filament passes through the extruder, the skull's head spins happily around with an occasional quick glance back during retraction.
