CR-10S Pro SKR 1.4 case
thingiverse
I built this enclosure to house a SKR 1.4 Turbo inside my CR-10S Pro.\r\n\r\nIt features mounting points for two 40x10mm (or 40x20mm) fans and the ribbon breakout board available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3980507\r\n\r\nThere are holes for power/heater wires, a USB port, and a micro SD slot as well as four slots on top to route the rest of the wiring.\r\n\r\nThe case is mounted opposite the printer's mainboard and exhausts air directly through the original ventilation holes on the left.\r\n\r\nAs there are no mounting points on this side of the printer, I used double-sided tape at the bottom of the case and some hot glue on its sides to keep it secure. The two tabs on top of the model rest on the printer's casing and prevent the case from moving up or down when the printer is closed.\r\n\r\nAll the mounting holes in the case are designed for M3 threaded inserts, which are 4mm wide and 6.7mm deep. I used a total of 16 threaded inserts.\r\n\r\nThe lid has a separator between the stepper drivers and the rest of the board so the two fans blow air over different areas.\r\n\r\nThere's limited space when fitting the SKR board inside the case, so take your time and be careful not to damage anything.\r\n\r\nHere's a list of the parts I used for this project:\r\n* Noctua A4x10 12V fan (x2)\r\n* Ruthex M3x5.7 threaded insert (x16)\r\n* M3x6 button-head screw (x8) - *SKR and breakout board*\r\n* M3x6 flat-head screw (x2) - *Lid*\r\n* M3x12 button-head screw (x6) - *Fans*\r\n\r\nI also used this mount I designed, which helps bring the USB connection outside the printer's casing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4536109
