I like Lonelslander's original design, but with a 30-degree fan angle, it optimizes airflow directly towards the mainboard more efficiently. However, I encountered two significant issues when printing his fan holder. Firstly, the screw holes were misplaced, making installation impossible. Secondly, the three arms for mounting the fan were slightly inadequate (I'm using a Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM fan), and they didn't secure the fan as tightly as expected. UPDATE: Lonelslander has already addressed the placement issue in his v2 design. Maybe my situation is unique, but I decided to modify the design. Firstly, I corrected the mounting screw hole location, ensuring proper installation. Secondly, I thickened two of the mounting holes to increase torque resistance. Thirdly, I replaced the three fan mounting arms with four M3 screw holes, relying on screws for a more secure hold. Fourthly, I reinforced the fan mounting plate for added structural strength and improved screw torque. I still highly recommend this design over other vertical designs due to its efficiency in directing airflow towards the mainboard.
