I redesigned the filament guide for better compatibility with my printer. I made a centered hole for an LED light source and added access holes so screws can be removed if needed. The new design adheres to standard Teflon tube dimensions but features smaller holes due to under-printing, which I corrected by enlarging them with a 5/32" drill bit for a secure tubing fit. To change filament, I remove the tube from the guide first and then extract the old filament as usual. Next, I feed new filament through the tube while keeping it loose in the guide, followed by pushing the filament into the hot end and finally pressing the tube firmly into place in the guide. This updated design performs flawlessly and eliminates unnecessary filament shavings.
