CR-10s Pro Fanduct Dual Outlet - Print in Place

thingiverse

This fan duct is designed for the Creality CR-10s Pro. V3 of this design has been uploaded! See the change list below. This is now considered a new design (not a remix) but will still honour the makers of the individual pieces used. This design is made to eliminate some issues found within the original design(s). ---------------------------------------------------- This model is to be printed as default presented and in the to-be-used used orientation (fan ducts touching the buildplate). ---------------------------------------------------- The thought behind this model is to: - Provide Sufficient airflow to your prints. - Be able to be printed without ANY support. - Sufficient protection from fan/fanblades without airflow hinderance. - Tight fit eliminating airgaps. - Strong support preventing drooping due to heat creeps from hotend. - Possibility to print in PLA without any issues(!) (tested actively for close to 2 months at temperatures from 190-250*C with no issues) Printed in PLA, Tested and works great, but recommend PETG due to potential heat from the Hotend, but as a fair notice for the PLA model: The PLA Model has been used to print PETG multiple times without any issues, and has managed prints up to 265*C (Temp Tower test). ---------------------------------------------------- V3 Changes featuring stronger joints around the screw mountings. V2 Changes now with a slightly thicker fan grill to eliminate issues with retractions during print, offering no postprocessing issues. (PETG might need some cleanup from minor stringing depending on your printer setup and tuning.) ---------------------------------------------------- Modifications made from original: - Changed Mount section where the fan is attached, you now need to remove the front cover of the fan (super easy), but this provides a sturdier fit. Original slid over the cover, but proved too brittle And required to swap the screws used. This in turn also removes a small gap between the fan and the fan duct. - Screwholes now have added structure to make sure no support is needed during print. - Since the mount is now changed you WON'T need to change screws from the stock. - Small tilt was added to the mount section to remove potential air gaps and to make sure the fan ducts don't drop too close to the bed. - Brace was added on both fan ducts to reduce the possibility of warping during operation. - Protective grill added in front of the fan opening to prevent objects from touching the fan (..and who doesn't love hexagons ;) ) Tags for search algorithm: CR10sPro, CR-10s Pro, CR10s Pro, Creality CR10sPro, Creality CR-10s Pro, Creality CR10s Pro, 3D Printer, Fan Duct, Fanduct, Modification, Hotend, Cooling, Stock Modification.
