CR-10S PRO Cooling Fan Duct
thingiverse
This duct is designed specifically for the Creality CR-10S Pro printer to incorporate the 5015 blower fan. The duct features an adapter that utilizes the original blower holes found on the printing head enclosure. To install the fan (blower), you must first remove the original fan and prepare four M3 screws, each measuring 10 mm in length, for attaching the fan adapter. Insert an M4 nut into the hexagon slot before connecting the duct to the printer cover. The slits on the duct allow for position calibration in the Z-direction. Once you have set the correct or desired height, tighten the four M3 screws. Next, install the fan using two M4 screws, measuring 20 and 25 mm in length respectively. You will need two M4 nuts to attach the fan - one has already been inserted (above), while the second nut is required to secure the screw located at the front. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 3: The duct design has been updated to accommodate the original 4020 blower coming from Creality, allowing for expanded blowing on both sides as with the 5015 blower. To install this version of the duct, you will need two M3x18 screws and one M3x20 screw, along with three M3 nuts. The bracket itself utilizes the same screws found in other versions. Two versions are available: an Open Loop design (with no bracket) and a Closed Loop bracket attached to "horns." Please note that I have not tested this version as my printer has a 5015 fan installed, so feedback is appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 2: Another version of the duct has been designed, featuring dual-side cooling. The duct is split at the blower exit, with each tray directing its own portion of air - one to the left and one to the right. The "old" tray has a smaller entrance to compensate for the longer path taken by the new direction. There are three files available: V6a, V6b, and V7. These designs have the same duct layout but differ in their front brackets, which connect the edges of both "horns." V6a features no bracket - this may be useful for those who prefer to see the nozzle during printing. V6b has a flat bracket, while V7 has a rounded extending bracket designed to increase stability, particularly for those printing with PLA. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 1: Another version of the duct, known as V5, has been added. This design aims to enclose the air around the nozzle. I have just installed it for mechanical testing but have not yet tested its functionality.
