CR-10S Pro Cable Chain Instructions. May 22, 2020 - Added a wider version for the V2 model. For assembly instructions, refer to the zip file containing photos. Assemble the chain by using the die and boss as shown in the photo. Start with the base hinge, attaching the outer plates with the side printed on the bed facing outward. This makes it easier to assemble since the holes are slightly smaller due to filament squishing on the first layer. Attach the two short outer plates to the top hinge. Check for free movement by articulating the chain. Unplug the ribbon cable from the extruder and feed the chain onto the ribbon, following the weave direction shown in the photo. Remove the electronics cover from the extruder (3 bolts) and slide on the top hinge. It should fit loosely. Replace the cover and plug in the ribbon cable. Secure the bottom pivot using double-sided tape. Some tapes work better than others. Attach the outer clips by locating one side first, then stretching over the opposite pin. The ribbon cable may need to be "trained" to sit correctly.
