I just added a HowTo.pdf which describes, how to assemble everything together. The new requires parts list is as follows: 1x Flexion Extruder (Standard or HT Kit), 1x Flexion extruder mounting plate Wanhao i3, 2x M4x8 screw ISK ISO7380, 6x M4x6 screw ISK ISO7380, 8x M4 nut, 2x M3x20 screw DIN912, 4x M3x14 screw ISK ISO7380, 2x M3x12 screw ISK ISO7380, 2x M3x10 screw ISK ISO7380, 1x M3x8 screw ISK ISO7380, 1x M3x6 screw ISK ISO7380, 2x M3x5 screw DIN7991, 10x M3 nut, 1x M3 washer, 1x 5015 fan, 1x 40x40x10mm fan, 1x BL Touch, 1x drag knife. V2: Major release update As promised, here is the new release including a part cooler mounted on a 5015 fan. Some of the additional work: + Added a mounting hole for a cutter drag knife + BLTouch/3Dtouch mounting more rigid/stable + cooling fan mount for 40mm fan to cool flexion extruder (I had some heat creep issues when using the HT hotend) The adapter for the part cooler/drag knife is designed to aim too low, so you have to heat it in its mounted position with a heatgun and bend it to point right beneath the nozzle. Make sure that all holes in the fan shrout are open and clean of filament - if everything is mounted correctly, the fan is very sufficient, I only need 25-40% cooling on PLA, otherwise I get layer adhesion problems. Mounting is a little tricky... 1) Mount bltouchmount to flexionplate 2) Mount flexionplate on printer 3) Mount Wanhao i3 plate 4) Mount 5015 Fan to fanandcutter 5) Mount fanandcutter on i3 plate (this is very tight but possible with pliers) 6) Mount flexion extruder 7) Mount BLTouch 8) Mount flexionhotendcooler 9)Mount part cooler on 5015 10) Gently heatup and bend fanandcutter 11) Done V1 - This is an adapter plate, which makes it possible to use the flexion extruder without the need of using a V6 Hotend. It is also designed to mount a BL/3D Touch probe to the printer. To make it as rigid as possible, I use the mounting plate of the Wanhao i3, which can be ordered online for less than $20. I used a fan from a different design, but it doesnt work that well. I will upload a working cooling fan design as soon as possible. Other than that, the mounting plate has passed all tests I have thrown at it (1x 137h single printjob with PETG, 1x 117h single printjob with PLA, 1x 128h single printjob with TPU - 85A). In addition, I have used it to print about 25 printjobs in different materials with a total of over 175 hours, so I feel quite save to say: This is working (which obviously doesn't mean it is perfect or even close of being done, but I think it is time for release). Required Materials: 1x Flexion mounting plate for Wanhao i3, 6x M4x8mm Screws, 2x M3x6mm Screws, 2x M3x8mm Screws (COUNTERSUNK! - Mounts the BL/3D Touch), 6x M4 nut, 2x M3 nut, some cable ties.
