CR-10S Filament Guide
thingiverse
I've been thrilled with my CR-10S for several months now, but lately my prints have been utterly subpar. After swapping out the nozzle and then the hot end, I discovered that the filament had worn away a groove in the extruder arm. (See photo) I created this straightforward guide and it seems to have resolved my issue. I feed the filament from the top and apparently this was putting too much stress on the arm. If you're using the filament out sensor, you might not encounter this problem. My sensor is mounted remotely since it kept falling off its designated location.
