Mounting a loadcell to the factory Creality spool holder requires some setup. To get started, follow these instructions to wire everything up using an octoprint plugin. I recommend printing one of the bearing mods for the spool holder to enable smooth rotation; without it, your readings will be all over the place due to filament tension. This particular loadcell uses a 2KG capacity and HX711 amplifier combo, which can be found in a package on Amazon, eBay, or AliExpress for around $10-$15. The other weight ratings come in different sizes, so they might not fit. However, this specific 2KG setup can handle readings above its rating and even supports up to 1KG of filament plus the spool, holder, and housing without any issues.
