CR-10S extruder spring helper
thingiverse
I recently realized that the extruder spring was a bit too weak for my liking, so I designed a device to compress it slightly. Two versions are available: one with a compression of 1mm and another with a 1.5mm compression. To print this part successfully, it's best done standing upright, at a resolution of .1 mm, using a very slow printing speed, and with the added support of a brim. This is not an easy print job. To install the device, start by screwing in the movable lever on the extruder first. Next, insert one end of the spring into the helper tool and then place the other end into its designated slot on the stationary part where the spring originally resided. Finally, push the helper firmly into place as shown in the accompanying illustration.
