CR-10 Z endstop filament sensor
thingiverse
V.2 adds smoother filament passthrough which works better now. A handle has been added to the lid for easier opening. When switching over to a bed leveling probe, I figured I could use my stock Z-axis endstop as an improvised filament runout sensor. I modified OneMake's design by adding a lid and 2 bowden couplers to it. Here's a link to OneMake's original thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2462029 Things you need: A Creality endstop (works with CR-10(s), might be compatible with other Creality machines) 1x M3x35 countersunk screw (for mounting the lid to the housing) 2x M3x10 screw (for mounting the endstop to the housing) 3x M3 nut 2x 4mm bowden coupler M10 After assembly, the filament sensor can be inserted in front of the extruder. Here's a video of Chris Riley explaining how to install and setup the plugin in Octoprint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChjwIGxnivw&t=196s
