CR-10 Z-Axis Adjustment wheel
thingiverse
I loved the original adjustment wheel designed by Baschz, and I'm grateful for that inspiration. To create a quicker adjusting mechanism, I remixed the design to include a spinning wheel knob that effortlessly raises or lowers the z-axis with a simple turn. The knob smoothly clicks into place on the wheel, thanks to its precision engineering. To achieve this level of flexibility, I purposefully designed the knob part out of PETG, allowing it to bend and conform to the location pins without any issues. This also gave me an excellent opportunity to test print with PETG and explore its capabilities. The only way I was able to successfully print perfect threads on the wheel was by using specific print settings: printing the wheel in a flat position with the z-axis location boss facing upwards, and printing the knob upright with pins pointing upwards.
