CR-10 y-stepper damper brace/stiffening (compatible with Ultimate Leveling Knobs)
thingiverse
This is a Remix of an already existing stiffener (thanks to Stefan Riese @CR10 FB-Group). This part allows you to mount a damper on the back of the y-stepper and to stiffen it up, preventing the motor from turning away if you tighten the belt. Besides, you can still use the Ultimate Leveling Knob at this place without worrying about it crashing against the stiffener. To create this Remix, you will need: - 2x long M3-screws (the original is too short) to mount the damper on the motor; I highly recommend using M3x40 and shortening the screw if necessary for the perfect fit. - 2x short M3 screws (M3x10 works fine) to mount the damper. - 2x M4x10 with two hammer nuts to securely attach everything on the CR10. Some important notes: - This Remix does not fit for the CR-10 S4 and S5 models, so make sure you have one of the supported versions before printing. - Check the comments below for more information and potential issues before starting your print.
