CR-10 Y-Axis Belt Tensioner Remix
thingiverse
I rebuilt the Y-Axis belt tensioner for my Creality CR-10 3D printer from scratch using Donnyb99's design as a starting point in Tinkercad. The original fit was too loose and sloppy, so I tightened up the tolerances significantly. I also added extra stiffening to prevent any further failures like the one where the tensioning bolt pulled through the plastic wall. To improve stability, I designed seats for the horizontal idler screw sleeves, allowing for a better grip on the threads. The knob has been reversed for easier handling, and the results are impressive - this tensioner is rock-solid with minimal slop or jiggle. You'll need an M5x25 bolt and a matching nut to complete it, as Donnyb99 pointed out.
