CR-10 X-axis Belt Straigtener - Motor Side
thingiverse
I printed Cornely_Cool's belt tensioner set for my CR-10. The link is https://www.thingiverse.com/Cornely_Cool/designs. It also Straightens the x axis belt so it travels freely without dragging on the aluminum extrusion of the x gantry. I accessed this design at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3288949. However, it was designed for an older model of the printer that did not have the little cover that holds the limit switch. So I recreated the OEM cover and then merged it with Cornely_Cool's model. In addition, a lot more has been done to the model to improve it. Here is what you need: 1 x 16 tooth pulley https://bit.ly/2MnSb86 1 x M3 x 18mm bolt 1 x M3 Nut The rest of the hardware comes with the printer. This thing is split into three slices so it can be printed with minimum support. I'm not sure if other slicers can place custom supports nowadays, but in Simplify3D I had to place supports in manually because the auto supports did nothing. So look for the screw hole on Pt. 1 & 2, and there is also a substantial overhang on Pt 1. Put the support structures in these three spots. Here are some recommended settings: All: 0.1000mm Layer height Pt 1 - Inner: 32% infil - Custom support Pt 2 - Center: 99 Bottom layers to make it "solid" - Custom support Pt 3 - Outer: 32% infil Pt 4 - Wire Management: 99 Bottom layers to make it "solid"
