CR-10 v3 X-Carriage for Voron Afterburner
thingiverse
Design to mount a Voron Afterburner on a CR-10 v3. For BL-Touch mounting, it can be left off, or use the bracket that comes with the kit (or available as [Thing 3940873](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3940873)) There's also a cable management bracket that just uses a couple zip ties for train relief. The stock cable cover won't work because wires must not enter from the back or there are issues with interference. You will need three pairs of heat-set inserts for the bottom two mounting holes and the belt clamps. The bolts that go through or into the mount should be selected for fit, they should be shorter now than in the Voron documentation. This includes the guidler bolt. Update: Aug 18th, 2021 Thickened the X endstop actuator to avoid nearly missing it, moved BL-Touch out a bit to give clearance for the connector in the inside. Update: Aug 20th, 2021 Lowered the BL-touch holes by a couple mm, with a v6 nozzle on the Dragon, the nozzle was only 1.3mm from the build plate when it triggered. Put a stock mk8 nozzle on there and it will crash. Update: Aug 21st, 2021 Raised the BL-touch holes by a mm, new setting placed retracted position below the fan shroud. Extended X endstop actuator by 2mm to avoid getting too close to center roller bolt. This is now mounted on my printer. Update: Aug 27th, 2021 I was unhappy with how the belts mounted, it was a huge pain to install, and the belt angle was poor. Update with screw-in mounts and am much happier with it. Also stopped trying to use the Creality BL-Touch bracket, and just added a printed one. I'll take new pictures once I finish my current print. Overall, I'm very happy with this, I've saved over 200 grams over the stock Titan with a Blokhead mounted, and there's an overall improvement. Note that I almost never print PLA, so the worse cooling arrangement isn't an issue for me. You may want to consider a Warbird vent and the 5015 mod if you're still planning on printing PLA.
