CR-10 V2, V3 Bondtech Adapter
thingiverse
I got the Titan upgrade kit for the V2 and I hated the titan, so I designed a mount for a bondtech BMG that will bolt on using the included threaded groove mount. I have only tested this on a genuine BMG, I cannot speak for how a clone would fit. Just need 2 m3x6 screws and 2 m3 nuts. A couple things to note - 1. The stepper direction needs to be un-reversed in the firmware. 2. The motor sticks out to the left more, and will hit the stabilizing rods if homed above 290mm z height. If you use this you may want to get longer spacers (I used 30mm spacers), or avoid homing at that height. Instructions- Install the mount onto the carriage loosely and slide it over to the left. Cut a length of ptfe measured from the top of the opening of the hotend using whatever method you deem fit, I just use a permanent marker to mark where the tube enters the hotend then cut it with tube cutters. Make sure it is at or a tiny bit above the top. Screw in the groove mount adapter, place the extruder halves over the groove mount, tighten to the motor, tighten the mount to the carriage, done. Note: it is not required but I recommend heating the hotend to printing temp, loosening the nozzle a half turn, inserting the tube and then hot tightening when the mount is installed to ensure a good seal to the newly inserted ptfe. 9/13/20 - There was some extra material in the model for some reason, uploaded a fixed stl 9/13/20 - Added groove mount adapter 9/14/20 added alternative mount with a pole to zip tie wires to 9/20/20 - Edited the groove mount to have a 3mm opening
