CR-10 V2 Silent Upgrade
thingiverse
My first upgrade for my brand-new 3D printer is to make it incredibly silent. The CR-10 V2 already comes with a super quiet stepper controller, but the stock fan included are extremely loud, so I replaced them all with Noctua fans. Here's what I used: * Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX x2 - one for the PSU and one for the casing * Polulo step-down regulator 24v to 12v. x2 - one for the casing and one for the extruder fan; the 24v PSU already uses 12v, so no need for a buck converter * M3x14mm screws x4 - for the new bottom cover * M3x5mm screws x4 - for the fan duct mount * M3x12mm screws x4 - for the feet Instructions: * I printed the body and the fan duct with PLA/PET, no support needed. * Printed the feet with TPU. * With this mod, we also don't need to put back the PSU cover since the new PSU fan is almost twice as thick as the original. We also have better airflow, and the cover is simply redundant.
