The enclosure safeguards the sMelzi motherboard from within the CR-10's control panel, its two halves secured by zip ties. Part of a comprehensive set, this component plays a crucial role in achieving the project's objective: relocating all internal components to the underside of an Ikea Lack table, with the printer positioned above for a sleeker appearance. By utilizing passive cooling, this enclosure eliminates the need for the control box fans' noisy operation.
