CR-10 Smart 5015 Part cooling fan upgrade
thingiverse
Needed an upgraded part cooling fan for the CR-10 Smart which seems to have non-existent community support at this stage. The mounting plate goes on the printer with the fan on it and the air duct slides onto the bottom of the fan output on the mounting plate. See the original part which I remixed from for a better idea. I am very new to CAD, my skills are not the best yet. The mounting plate design is fine, but the air duct is very very bad at flowing the air so it doesn't impact the nozzle. If someone can improve the design of the fan duct, I've included the step files so modification should be easy. After a day of using this, I noticed when trying to level the bed, the fan duct collides with the retaining clips at the back of the bed. This isn't an issue because you can just slide off the duct when levelling and put it back when done. No supports necessary. I printed with PLA but you can use any material. Hardware needed: 3x M2 Scews (you can re-use the old ones from the stock part cooling fan). 2x M3x20 screws and nuts to secure the fan to the plate.
