CR-10 S5 Y Axis Belt Tensioner
thingiverse
This Is a Y Axis Belt Tensioner designed specifically for the CR-10S printer, measuring 500 x 500 x 500 dimensions. Frustrated by fitment and function issues with other y belt tensions, one resulting in a catastrophic structural failure during printing, I created this design using the stock aluminum bracket to ensure a seamless integration. This tensioner consists of five distinct parts, leveraging an existing STL for the knob from another reliable source, as reinventing it was unnecessary. The frame was divided into left and right brackets for improved assembly efficiency, while the puller underwent modifications to increase its base thickness. The design still necessitates M5 x 16 mm button cap screws and M5 nylon lock nuts, alongside a M5 by 30mm hex cap bolt and M5 nut. An update to this design involves thickening the bottom of the puller for added protection against the M5 Hex cap bolt being pulled through under extreme tension. For optimal printing results, most parts can be printed with a 20% infill; however, I highly recommend using at least 50% infill for both the puller and end cap to ensure maximum durability.
