CR-10 S5 Y Axis Belt Tensioner - Improved Lower Profile
thingiverse
I printed the original for my CR10-S5 but had some issues with clearances on the heated bed. I made some modifications to this to improve the fitment with the S5 version that has the aluminum supports under the bed. I also wanted to add appropriate mounting holes to secure to the 20/20 frame, instead of needing additional L-brackets. The S5 does not have the center supports under the bed for the tensioner to mount to, so I added 4 mounting holes to secure the arms, and keys to keep the arms aligned in the rail. Parts needed: 1x tensioner arm 1x tensioner arm mirrored 1x tensioner puller 1x tensioner plate 1x M4 thumb knob of your choice. Here is one that can work: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3075601 4x M4 button head bolts - 12mm long 4x M4 T-nuts 1x M4 hex bolt - 26mm long I redesigned this to work with a M4 bolt instead of a larger one. I also modified the puller part to accept the bushings. This will allow you to use the plastic bushings that come stock on the machine and not pinch the belt wheel/bearing. I have included both the .stp files and the STLs. Please feel free to make additional improvements.
