Really liked the original concept, but happened to have M10 rod on hand instead of M8. Decided to enlarge the holes for the rod itself and slightly increase the size of the holes for the screws on the bottom piece in the process. This adjustment allows for smoother insertion, minimizing the risk of cross-threading - since it doesn't require threading into the part, there's no need to complicate things unnecessarily.
