CR-10(s) - Y Axis Tensioner
thingiverse
It's a belt tensioner for the Y axis (Bed) for CR-10(S). This allows you to easily adjust the tension of the bed belt very easily. It also allows you to reuse the original screws and bolts of the CR-10(S). Print settings: The body and screw head can be printed without support or border. The bolt/tensioner will require support and border. Photos: Black PLA+ filament from Amazon Basics for the Body and screw. Gold PLA filament from Grossite3D for the tensioner bolt. Advice: To ensure that the bolt and screw thread in smoothly on the first try, I recommend lubricating them with 3-in-1 oil. This will reduce resistance and minimize the risk of breakage. It is 2.4 cm shorter than the original. This smaller version avoids the wheels on the bed from hitting the piece during printing at 1 cm from the edge. Edit: I realized that during prints near the edge of the plate, the wheels would hit the piece. So I made a new version... without screws! This piece is held in place by the pressure and tension of the belt. Edit: The previous version "without Screws" caused creaking sounds during prints. After investigating the cause, it was due to the lack of screw or bolt holding the piece in place. I made a version with a "Shelf Brace" (bracket) that provides two points of support and hold for the piece. Timelapse: https://youtu.be/YKVcZBr5Xyc
