CR-10 S X axis Tensioner (Tendeur de courroie Axe des X)
thingiverse
Hi There, This thing is "work in progress" until it's done on my machine. That will happen in a few days. This is a remix of "CR-10 Mod - X axis Tensioner by Cornely_Cool". The initial design is really wonderful, and this tensioner seems to be an OEM part, really! I made three modifications for the following reasons: I don't have a GT2 idler pulley in stock at the moment, so I wanted this thing to fit the original double ball bearing from Creality. Even if that double bearing looks like a mechanical mistake (I had a discussion about that with Cornely-cool). Why didn't they put a normal pulley, with 20 teeth for example? Then I wanted to use a normal 5mm diameter bolt. But the bearings are 8mm center bore. So I made a little "coupler" to pass from 8mm to 5mm (part called "Manchon"). The files you can find are: Corps_V2.stl: It's the body, fixed on the machine Vis.stl: It's the screw, supporting the bearings Manchon.stl: It's the reducer form 8 to 5 mm Boulon.stl: It's the nut. No modifications of Cornely-cool's original Corps.stl is the older version, with not enough clearance between screw and body. On my machine, I had to change the belt because with this tensioner, it was too short (just a few mm, but too short!). Depending on how your factory is set for your machine, you won't have to change the belt. Maybe. You can re-use the bolt and nut of the factory tensioner to mount this new tensioner on the machine. Don't forget an M5x25mm bolt and an M5 nut to mount the bearings on the "screw" part. Thanks a lot to Cornely-cool for this particularly successful design! Enjoy! Sorry for my bad English.... EDIT 2018-08-18: Argh!!!: Not enough clearance between screw and body. So I add a few 5/10 mm of clearances in the body part. I uploaded corps_V2.STL and deleted the previous version. Sure, it's a work in progress thing... Photos added. EDIT 2018-08-16: Not "work in progress" now, the last version of the "Body" with new clearances is okay! It's on my machine now. Enjoy installing this mod; it's really accurate for belt tensioning. Next step, the Y tensioner...
