I want to extend my gratitude to gunnar94 for laying the groundwork on the direct drive and Tacblades for creating the fan mount! This particular drive mount stood out to me due to its simplicity. It still leverages the factory extruder and hot end, yet I made a few adjustments and reinforcements to make it more robust. After nearly a year of using it on my CR-10 without any issues, I decided to upgrade to an Ender 5 Plus and made a minor tweak to accommodate the new printer. I'm confident that this design will fit similarly designed printers and other Creality machines with minimal or no modifications needed. Additionally, by following the instructions for the extruder mod, you'll be able to print flexible materials with ease. In line with gunnar94's suggestions, I utilized Tacblades' OEM_Fang_CR-10_Short3 fan mount without any updates. One of its best features is that it utilizes the factory fans. To further reduce noise levels, I opted for a Noctua 40X40X20 fan.
