CR-10 Mod - Frame Braces
thingiverse
My Personal Braces for the CR-10/CR-10S Frame. I designed my own version of braces specifically for the CR-10/CR-10S frame. My printer is a CR-10, equipped with the dual Z motor kit and belt and pulleys on top to prevent synchronization loss between the two screws. To accommodate these components, I left some extra space in the upper brackets for installation and adjustment. In my particular setup, I can reach the full 400mm Z stroke without any obstructions. However, at the 400mm mark, clearance is extremely low, about 2mm. Be aware of this critical limitation! The top bracket uses OEM hardware, consisting of screws, T-nuts, bearings, and bearing covers. The bottom bracket requires three screws and three T-nuts each. To assemble everything, I needed two M8 threaded rods measuring 640mm long and ten M8 nuts. After printing and installation, everything fit perfectly together. For the Nut Covers, I used a small amount of silicone to keep them in place securely. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project!
