CR-10 Mini Double X stepper damper brace
thingiverse
This is a remix of the bracket from superkris, with significant modifications to accommodate smaller stepper motors on the CR-10 Mini. The original bracket was too large to fit these new motors comfortably. To make it work, I had to adjust the bracket's position to keep the motor at its stock setting. This change allowed me to use the smaller stepper motors that are now available for the CR-10 Mini. The stepper motor dampers used in this design are standard ones commonly found on online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon. You can find them on a variety of websites, including https://www.amazon.com/Stepper-Rubber-Vibration-Dampers-Printer/dp/B073FRZTDX/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1529347142&sr=8-3&keywords=stepper+motor+damper. To improve airflow and reduce heat buildup, I added a few strategically placed cooling slots to the design. Additionally, I removed unnecessary screw holes to streamline the bracket's structure. To increase its overall stability, I incorporated some stiffening ribs into the design. A SolidWorks file for this modified bracket is available for download, allowing anyone to make further modifications as needed.
