CR-10 Linear Rail Mod

Update 3/18/20 - Added a new Acme Nut Bracket that should work for stock cr-10 nuts. Also, attempted to add my step files (first time doing this so let me know if I messed something up). The wire bracket needs to be adjusted still for the new acme nut brackets (I made them bigger to prevent flex). These are the files I used to mod my CR-10s to linear rails. These files will not work with a stock CR-10 as mine was already highly modified. Things needed to work with stock CR-10 include a mount for the extruder (I have direct drive), possible need to change the acme nut bracket since I'm using custom stepper mounts, the acme nut bracket is designed to work with standard round acme nuts NOT the stock ones, the z end stop may not work correctly with these brackets (I am using BLTouch) and some of the holes on the custom x plate may not be in the exact right place since I'm not using the standard hot end. You will also need a longer x belt since the x stepper had to be moved out to make room for the rail bracket. The good thing about these designs is they are split up in a way that you can change the acme nut bracket without reprinting the entry bracket for the gantry. Most of the screws are M3 or M4. The custom X plate was designed to use press/melt in brass threaded inserts. And you will need longer screws to replace the ones used for the wheels on the z axis. Everything is designed to have some play in its final placement so it's essential to line everything up correctly before tightening down. I did this so I could more easily adjust for steppers or rails being slightly out of place. I used the Z-axis linear rail mount from here (I used the spacer I created since the one located there appears to be the wrong size): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2974225 I used the Y-axis linear rail mount from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3513661 I am open to creating some of the files needed to make this work with a stock CR-10 when I have time.
With this file you will be able to print CR-10 Linear Rail Mod with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on CR-10 Linear Rail Mod.
