CR-10 Indicator Mount
thingiverse
Orient the object with its back side up, positioning everything vertically within the area featuring three slits on the bed. When installing the X-axis bar indicator, you may notice that some stock setups are not included due to varying usage preferences. A snug fit should still occur once attached to the printer, given that the hole for the indicator measures 9.8mm in diameter and can accommodate slightly larger sizes. However, smaller shafts will prove ineffective. This part was printed using PETG, but feel free to experiment with alternative materials. Supports on overhang areas are optional. If you encounter splitting or breakage during installation, consider increasing infill levels to 40% or higher for added stability. It's also crucial to mount the indicator with its overhanging side facing downwards first, then angle it into place before pushing the hole side down until securely locked. VERSION 2: This updated design incorporates more pronounced chamfers while maintaining overall similarities. VERSION 3: The clip portion has been shortened to 13mm from the original 15mm length, resulting in a tighter lock onto the bar. Keep in mind that this modification requires an adjusted angle and increased force for snapping into place. It's uncertain whether PLA would provide sufficient strength.
