CR-10 Flip Flap Display Cover

CR-10 Flip Flap Display Cover

Have you ever slept in the same room as your CR-10 while it was printing, become accustomed to its noise (or did the basic fixes to cut down the sound), wonder why the CR-10 didn't come with a display dimmer function, realize throwing a towel or blanket over the box wasn't a fire-safe practice, but still want to cover that brilliant blue stock display during sleepy time hours? A piece of cardboard and some tape will fix it right up. But because you have a CR-10 or another printer using the same display, you probably want to print one out of filament. The frame requires some form of adhesive (a thin strip of double-stick mounting foam tape works great) to mount around the stock display bezel, but once in place, the flip cover has two positions: up and down. Spend an afternoon re-inventing the simple hinge and believe it or not, go through multiple iterations to get it to work; your afternoon may be more interesting. Printing direct on glass without a brim doubles as a level check as the thin frame and beveled cover likes to pull off the bed while printing.
