CR-10 Filament sensor guide
thingiverse
This is a remix of _MDC_'s remix(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4358457) of the original design by Appleman59(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4189268/remixes). I wanted something that was a little more universal of a mount solution as I planned on using one for each of my two extruder steppers. I was unsure of where I'd be mounting each stepper and wanted something that would work no matter what I decided. I also wanted to reduce the need for printing with supports. overall the print seemed a little thin and wobbly so I increased the thickness of the supporting fame and added an additional bar to the base. For a cleaner finish I also removed the screw holes on the back side of the sensor mount. Here is what I was able to come up with. The result was a decrease of of filament usage by 3 grams, an increase of part weight by 5 grams(less wasted material), and reduced print time by about 15 min. I think its pretty simple by design and allows for removal if you want to run some filament without the sensor.
