CR-10 Filament guide/cleaner/oiler

CR-10 Filament guide/cleaner/oiler

thingiverse

Total redesign based on the common filament guide found on Thingiverse. Most guides I've seen are flawed because they guide the filament in at an angle, causing unnecessary wear on the extruder. To address this issue, I wanted to incorporate a filament filter that doesn't rely on hinges or lids and can be easily oiled while the printer is running, eliminating the need for downtime when using a stock CR-10 hot end. Currently, I'm searching for a suitable metal wire nozzle to melt into place. Over time, the filament will wear down into the feed funnel, making a metal insert a necessary solution. To create this guide, simply cut a small piece of foam sponge and pierce a hole through it for the filament. Then, install the filament as normal, taking advantage of the filter's features to extend the life of your printer.
