This upgrade is a major silence update for the controller box. You can install the slowest and quietest fans available without worrying about overheating, as they are perfectly cooled even with minimal airflow. Removing all other fans won't compromise performance either. The box features ample space for three micro SD cards and two card slots. Additionally, it comes equipped with a removable dust grid that protects the fans from hair and debris on your work surface. If desired, you can insert a slim filter mat between the grid and the base for extra protection. However, I believe the built-in grid will provide sufficient safeguard. With the dust grid infill file, you can create your own custom dust grid by utilizing the Infill feature in Cura. The accompanying picture demonstrates a sample setup. A convenient drawer is located on the front of the box, though its size is not the largest. Space has been used thoughtfully within this compartment. Please note that this project is still under development, so I make no promises regarding its functionality or reliability. For the fan guard design, I drew inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:389075. The removable guard allows for custom box designs. Four screws are required to secure the fan guard, utilizing the existing screw holes in my fans – specifically 4x M3x30 and 2 x M4x20 screws along with 2x M4 nuts.
