CR-10 Extruder Top Mount

CR-10 Extruder Top Mount

I decided to relocate my extruders to the top bar of my CR-10 to prevent messing up the Z coordinate when changing filament during a print and for a dual extruder setup. This move also allows the extruder steppers to swivel left/right, thereby reducing strain on the bowden tube when printing tall objects. To make this happen, you'll need the following components: 1 x 37x25x7 bearing 4 x M4 T-slot nuts 4 x M4 10mm screws 1 x 60cm bowden tube You can also consider adding a stepper damper between the ExtruderMountPlate and the StepperSleeve, but it's not essential. To ensure proper alignment, adjust the height of the StepperSleeve prongs to fit your stepper's base plate height. This will allow them to click securely into place.
