Greg crafted a fantastic and widely popular filament guide. However, I wasn't thrilled with how much it deviates and curves the filament away from the Zed screw. In my situation, the filament has started cutting through the guide itself (as seen in this picture of me holding one of Greg's designs) and applies considerable pressure against one side of the extruder inlet. This also creates extra dust inside the extruder. To mitigate this issue, I accessed Greg's uploaded Fusion file (thank you for sharing that, Greg) and simply moved the filament guide loop a few millimeters along the edge to ease some strain on the guide edge, and extruder orifice, while still keeping it away from the Z screw. Version 1 is based on Greg's original design. Version 2 is my preferred version, set slightly further over than Version 1. The pictures should illustrate the differences, though they are quite subtle.
