PLEASE REVIEW! This is a WORK IN PROGRESS! PRINT AT YOUR OWN RISK! For version 5015 go here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2892792 V2.6 UPDATE 4/30/2018 (Minor) Altered the circular mounting hole on the left side of part to an oblong shape, ensuring a better fit with the steel bracket and part tolerances. Revised the air outlets for a more streamlined design. 4/26/2018 - I SUCCESSFULLY PRINTED THIS DESIGN WITH ZERO INFILL! However, depending on your Slicer's handling of initial bridging layers, you may find 5-10% infill works better. Print with confidence at 5% or try 0% infill for a lighter part. PETG and ABS Recommended (Haven't attempted PLA) Others have tried printing with PLA with success, but that comes with limitations like printing at higher temps and using a sealed enclosure. I'm unable to confirm if PLA won't work under those conditions. My recommendation remains to use PETG and/or ABS until I can confidently vouch for PLA. Print the top surface down for best results (like the image shows). Avoid using supports unless your slicer allows you to place them at specific locations. Supports in airflow channels may never be cleared out. Bridging is required, so test your bridging skills with a separate part if needed. The required bridging distance is 3/4" or less. Layer height has been printed successfully at .3mm and lower. The stock extruder fan snaps into the top using small rounded bumps where screw holes are located. Be cautious not to apply too much pressure, as it may damage your fan. Trim the bumps slightly for easier installation. I'll continue improving this piece over time and provide a file with higher resolution once I'm confident in its release. Both mounting locations required by the stock housing are available on this part, but the back hole may require a longer screw to properly engage the printed part. Check your local hardware store for proper screws. Please be aware that you print at your own risk. This design is still in progress and has only been added due to popular request. Hope this works out for you!
