After reading way too many comments about people printing their own links and in the end they were breaking or there was too much friction between them, I decided to just buy one boring black cable chain. If you buy a closed/bridge type chain, you will have to cut each link and push the cable inside (could be slightly cheaper but maybe not worth it), and it's usually sold by 1 meter unit. Less than half will do the job.
