These parts are for an enclosure I built for my CR-10. It uses inexpensive activated carbon respirator filters by Hawk, which significantly reduces the smell of ABS printing fumes for me. This filter setup is not a complete filtration system. Limited research on 3D printing nanoparticles suggests that even HEPA filtration may not be entirely sufficient. To enhance filtration capabilities, you could incorporate P100 filters and figure out how to efficiently circulate air through them. Since little is known about safety in 3D printing, I designed this enclosure to give myself a bit more confidence. Basic safety principles still apply: print volatile materials like ABS and Nylon responsibly. Here's a list of parts and estimated costs for each: 1" x 2" wood - Cost varies depending on your local supplier. Handi-panel - Approximately $20 for a 4' x 8' panel (one sheet). Rigid hard insulation, 3/4" thick - $12 per 4' x 8' sheet (one sheet). Lexan or plexiglass for the window - $10. Spray adhesive for attaching insulation to the Handi-panel - $8. 3" vinyl vent hose - $4. VIVOSUN 4" inline blower - $30. Hawk activated carbon respirator cartridges - $7 (two-pack). Your time and energy - I don't have an estimate for that. Your lungs and overall health - Priceless.
