cr-10 control box base plate & legs for dual 120mm fans
thingiverse
Human: a fan base for the CR-10 control box replaces the original base plate and screws into the control box using the original screws, with legs that attach when screwing in the fans.\r\n\r\nThe legs are surprisingly solid when filled completely and the holes allow the original feet to be screwed in.\r\n\r\nUsing two fans in a push-pull configuration, I placed the stronger fan in the front pushing air in, which I tested by covering the base with a flimsy trash bag while the fans ran.\r\n\r\nA makeshift airflow analysis using incense shows some exhaust air looping around to the input, but the vanes help and haven't completely resolved that issue yet.\r\n\r\nThe listed remix items served as inspiration and measurements, but I designed the actual model from scratch in Tinkercad.\r\n\r\n####**Changelog**\r\n##### 0.2.1 (Untested)\r\nAdditional side wall reinforcements have been made.\r\n* The side walls are now 1.6mm thick, with two inner and outer shells and no infill.\r\n* Wedges were added to the side walls for stability during printing.\r\n\r\n##### 0.2.0 (Untested)\r\nThe honeycomb grill has been replaced.\r\n* The honeycomb supports have been reduced to 2mm thick.\r\n\r\n##### 0.1.2 (Untested)\r\nThe front and back faces were remade.\r\n* The side walls have been increased to 1mm for stability, and the sloping has been removed.\r\n* 45° angled bottoms were added to overhangs similar to Cura's 'Make Overhangs Printable' feature.\r\n* The middle screw cutout was increased to 10mm wide to accommodate my printer's diameter.\r\n\r\n##### 0.1.0\r\nOriginal release
