The standard cold end mount for the CR-10 enables the entire extruder assembly to move freely, with only two horizontal mounting points that are a considerable distance from the actual nozzle tip. This part serves multiple purposes. 1. It supports the cold end, which in turn secures the whole extruder assembly. Additionally, it adds two more mounting points, making the assembly more stable. 2. At the base of the cold end support, there is a small step that provides horizontal alignment of the nozzle, ensuring the tip of the nozzle is parallel to the x-axis. Notes: 1. You will need 14-15mm long 2mm self-tapping screws for the lower two mounting points. 2. I printed mine from PETG as it is quite close to the hot end. This upgrade is definitely one of the best if done correctly on my CR-10.
