Required Parts: -Arduino -Supersonic Sensor -sg90 servo with horn (or just print one) -Raspberry pi camera with octopi setup I've been trying to figure out a way to add camera movements to my 3D printer, so I thought creating a mount that would adjust the camera's angle based on the extruder height would be a good start. The device definitely doesn't work flawlessly yet, as it is still in development. I'm excited to keep working on it because I have plans to add another servo to allow the camera to pan. Of course, the ultimate goal is to set up a system that will let me control the camera from outside my house. But I just wanted to post what I have so far, in case anyone was interested. The camera uses a supersonic sensor to determine its height, and then it adjusts its angle to keep it focused on the center of the build plate. The code could definitely use some work, and I'm learning more about how I can accomplish these tasks more efficiently. But for now, the current program will have to do. I printed the parts using white ABS because my printer is in an enclosure that gets pretty hot inside. I also just printed a servo horn and glued it into the camera housing because it was easier than trying to find a way to screw the small parts together. The flat surface isn't completely necessary, but I put it there to prevent cables from causing problems with the ultrasonic sensor. There are definitely multiple other ways to combat that issue. All these parts simply clip onto the existing CR-10 structure. The only screws necessary are for the servo. I drilled out the holes a bit on the servo and the mount, then just forced some 3mm screws through to mount the servo. Glue works too, though - whichever is most convenient. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll continue to update this as I make any significant changes. If you have any suggestions for changes I could make, I'd love to hear them.
