CR-10 Bowden Tube Clamp
thingiverse
I believe I have discovered a way to minimize or even eliminate the need for repeated maintenance on the bowden tube that enters the print head on CR-10 printers. This design using a bowden tube puts immense strain on the tube as the print head moves back and forth in the 'X' axis, causing it to be rotated constantly within the existing self-locking strain relief. This constant rotation gradually wears down the tube and eventually allows it to retract slightly from within the hot end, resulting in filament leaks and clogging. My testing is still ongoing but so far, (November 17th), along with Capricorn tubing, I have not had to rework the nozzle for quite some time now. It appears to be working well, but I am sure that the success can also be attributed to the new higher heat range tubing. Happy printing!
