CR 10 Bowden Paste Extruder
thingiverse
This is a relatively simple installation process for the syringe pump. You connect the syringe to the extruder motor using a bowden tube and a fishing line or strong string with a 1mm diameter, then attach the other end of the string to the spool attachment on the extruder motor shaft. As the string winds around the shaft, it pulls down the plunger and causes the syringe to extrude its contents. I used a 100ml syringe for this setup and created a small attachment to achieve a 1.9mm nozzle diameter. A smaller syringe might actually work even better due to physics. For my specific setup, I employed the same parameters as if using a pen holder and reduced the flow rate to 10%. However, keep in mind that the optimal flow rate will depend on your nozzle diameter, syringe size, and the liquid or paste you're extruding. The materials I used for this project were icing made from 125g of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of water.
