CR-10 Bondtech LH Direct Drive Extruder Mount

This is a custom mount for a Left Hand Bondtech BMG extruder on a CR-10 or CR-10S printer. It should also work with CR-100 S4, S5 and Mini printers and possibly some other Creality printers. I printed out this design from Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2755588 and realized the standard Bondtech BMG is a bit tricky to use on CR-10 as the release lever is located on the back side of the extruder, making it hard to access. I decided to purchase a Left Hand drive version and mount it. After a quick modification to make it work with the original mount, I found the LH extruder moved the hot end about 8mm forward. Although it still worked, part cooling wasn't as good anymore so I made my own mount. This custom mount will only work with a LEFT HAND version BMG extruder. The cooling duct would interfere with the Hot End if you try to use a normal BMD Extruder and it won't fit. Offsets for the BLTouch are -30 in X and 0 in Y Update: I uploaded version 2 of this file on April 23, 2018. I added more clearance between cooling and hotend (the model I used was old style E3D hotend). The new style is a bit bigger so you can mount the cartridge style thermistor. I also redid the entire part cooling fan duct. Now it's much cleaner and has a splitter to force half of the air to the other side for more equal cooling.
