CR-10 Bed Leveler digital caliper
thingiverse
This is a variation of CallJoe's design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2412647).\r\n\r\n*** I've updated the pull tab on the clip to make it stronger.\r\n\r\nTo find a reliable seller, check out this link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LCD-Display-Digital-Depth-Gauge-Tyre-Tire-Tread-Brake-Pad-Shoe-Wear-0-25-4mm-/162335220327?epid=582149460&hash=item25cbeee267:g:QnEAAOSw2xRYYjlH&vxp=mtr\r\n\r\nThe two pieces were designed to require no supports. As you can see, the back of the base has an angled rectangle. The reason for this design is that the CR-10's fan cover is angled, causing the part cooler to sit above the nozzle. Simply apply CA to one of the angled pieces and press the clip to the base, then clamp overnight.\r\n\r\nTo use this leveler: Place the caliper in position and attach it to the fan cover. Click "auto home." Use a piece of paper to level the first location. Press down on the top of the plunger until the metal arm is against the bed surface, then press the "zero/yellow" button. No further leveling with paper will be needed. Of course, you've already disabled stepper motors. Now you can level any other area on your bed. *** Before leveling, heat up your bed to your desired temperature if using the heating feature.\r\n\r\nOne additional note: After leveling with this caliper, click "auto home" so you can easily remove the caliper clip.
