CR-10 50mm Fang Fan Mount/Duct/Shroud
thingiverse
So this is probably my final fan mount for the stock hotend, and it's a good thing because it's also the most effective one yet, offering unparalleled visibility. You'll need: 2 x 50mm fans 3 x M4x20 bolts 3 x M4 nuts 3 x M4 lock washers (optional) Everything should be pretty straightforward. I've uploaded a picture that shows how everything is connected. I also posted an 80º Atom overhang test print completed with this setup. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. I've included the STEP file and Fusion 360 archive for anyone interested in modifying or improving this design. PS: If you find this mount very noisy, make sure to tighten those M4's really well. If it's still noisy after that, try adding a tiny shim to better secure the fans in place. I designed it with a bit of slack to account for differences in other people's print settings. PPS: I should have included pictures of the underside of that overhang test print, but unfortunately, I used clear filament and those pics are pretty much useless now. Print Settings: Printer: Creality CR-10 Rafts: Don't matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 to 0.2 mm Infill: 35%
