This is an enhanced version of Midevil1's popular 120mm fan base design, featuring small dovetail locking pieces for added security and reliability. The dovetail recess has been carefully crafted with a diameter that is 0.2mm larger than the corresponding dovetail section to accommodate typical printing tolerances. The accompanying image showcases the actual item, courtesy of Midevil1's original listing. Full credit goes to the creator of this innovative design. Edit: March 25, 2018 - To address potential issues with the original files, I have replaced them with a revised version (v2). The earlier design featured extremely tight tolerances on the dovetail parts, which may have caused difficulty joining them together due to printer variations and filament types. Sanding or lubrication might be required in such cases. In this updated version, I've increased the tolerance to 0.6mm, making it easier to assemble without any issues. If you've already printed the earlier design, you can still use those parts but may need to lightly sand the spigots and apply a lubricant like washing up liquid or cooking oil to facilitate smooth assembly. I highly recommend printing a test piece first to gauge the tolerances before embarking on a longer print job, such as a 24-hour project.
