CPAP Mask Ozone Cleaning Box Ver: 0.5.0
prusaprinters
I am currently developing a method to clean my CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) equipment. I utilize a Phillips Fit Life mask that covers my entire face and resembles a firefighter's Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). This is the initial prototype. The strategy I plan to use is simple yet effective. I connect an ozone generator at the bottom of a box. Once I wipe the mask, I place it inside the box, close the lid, and turn on the ozone generator to sanitize it. Additionally, it back-feeds the entire CPAP circuit through the CPAP hose to sanitize it from end to end. To allow the CPAP hose to come out of the box, the front and lid have a tube-sized hole removed at a 45° angle and filleted.I have designed the box using an OnShape resizable box Part Studio, and the hinges are pinned using M3 Cap screws directly into the PLA material. Currently, it is functioning well. I plan to refine the design with a closed-cell foam seal (yet to be invented) and integrate a UV sanitizing light into the container for added protection when I have the opportunity. If you want to print this, you might find it large for a regular mask. If you go onto OnShape and look for my designs, you can get the re-sizable box and resize it. Stay tuned for updates and refinements!
